In every business confidential materials are generated on a daily basis from strategic planning documents to employee records. Unfortunately, any document containing private information could be a security risk if in the wrong hands. We have designed systems to handle the shredding of cassette tapes, CD's, plastic, card and even Ministry of Defence manuals.
Documents and waste can be fed into the Shredder hopper by a Nicholls Bin Loader or an incline Conveyor. The shredded material then exits the Shredder unit and can be transported by a Nicholls Mechanical Conveying system or Pneumatic Conveying system to a remotely sited waste collection point. If the mechanical approach is required, we can utilise our expertise in the field of Dust Extraction to ensure the working environment conforms with COSHH regulations.
Nicholls manufactured 'Gannet' Shredders are designed with top and bottom cutting discs that rotate at different speeds thus increasing the shearing capacity. Manufactured with heavy duty sealed bearings and endless belts, they do not require maintenance. Also, the 100mm diameter main shafts ensures no distortion when under heavy load. The 'Gannet' Shredder can take many layers of continuous rolls of paper or large quantities of layered sheets of paper at a general throughput of one Ton per hour.
