Transportation of material by air is a very useful tool and often the most efficient and effective solution for the processing industries. Nicholls have designed many systems to handle a wide variety of products ranging from granulated paper at 1mm in size up to large lengths of paper off cuts 1000mm long by 100mm wide and 50mm high. We have handled parts of rubber tyres, rubber crumb, both large and small pieces of wood, lumps and granules of plastic and glass. There is almost no limit to the versatility of our Air Systems.
There are two types of pneumatic conveying; positive (blowing) and negative (suction) pressure. Each offer distinct advantages depending on the materials and configuration that can be achieved if the system is being designed to integrate with a system that is already installed.
