Fume Extraction

Health and Safety legislations COSHH, NIOSHH, OSHA etc state that the employers are responsible for the welfare and safety of their employees. Failure to conform could lead to legal action, fines and poor employee relations.

Many process produce harmful dust and fumes that are hazardous to health if inhaled. We can become permanently sensitised to very small amounts of fumes and continued exposure can cause respiratory disease or asthma attacks. Nicholls fume extraction systems are designed to suit each individual application and the environment in which it is set to ensure optimal performance that complies with Health and Safety legislations.

Many other benefits from fume extraction are;
  • Increased production speeds
  • Reduced downtime due to cleaning lenses and equipment
  • Product contamination significantly reduced
  • Provides a better working environment
  • Correct use of the system will ensure employees health is not at risk from fumes

The type of extraction system we design and install will capture the fumes at the source preventing them from circulating in the workplace. Once extracted they are sent through a filtration device removing any contaminants and particles from the air. Nicholls Fume Extraction systems comply with Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) regulations and full legal documentation will be provided to show the system is safe and fully compliant.
