Ballistic Separators are used for removing 3-Dimesional materials such as plastic bottles, aluminium and steel cans from domestic and industrial waste. There are a series of paddles that oscillate in pairs so the material is agitated in such a way that the light fractions move forward and the 3-Dimensional fractions move backwards. The angle is set according to material separation requirements. To further assist in removal of the lighter fractions Nicholls Air Knife (link) technology can be installed if this is a requirement.
